Blackheart Society was a creation of Ben Fleming, Joshua War, and Cameron MacPhie. The three formed the band experimenting with sounds of the 60's creating a new wall of sound with country twang and vicious beats. The band broke up then reformed with new memeber using the material and new material that was a remainder of the band (more of Ben Fleming). The former band played with such artist as the Black Angels, Ghostland Observatory, Melladrone and many more.
