Blackdraft is a muscial project by Austrian musician Benjamin Mayer (born 1991). He writes all the songs, plays all the instruments and produces the tracks himself. Blackdraft's music is deeply rooted in progressive rock and post-rock, but also incorporates elements of genres as diverse as metal, jazz, classical music, shoegaze and electronica. Trademarks of the music are the contrasts between massive walls of sound, rhythmic progressive rock, psychedelic moments and pumping electro.
