The Black Coffee Cowboys, Calgary’s Honky-tonk Heroes, were formed for one reason only - to make people shake, rattle, and roll. That’s three reasons, but you catch the drift. The Cowboys were created in 2004 by lead guitarist Earl Garnet, formerly of the Surefires, and stand-up bass player Robby Velvet. After releasing their critically acclaimed album "Hillbilly Angel", they fine-tuned their lineup by recruiting acoustic guitar player Deuce Frehley from the popular Calgary band Agriculture Club, and jazz drummer extrordinaire Slick Patsy.
