Born in Australia and raised in a Persian culture she was drawn to a dynamic range of sounds musically from a young age. She grew up listening to a range of artists from Nelly Furtado and Beyoncé to Britney Spears, honing her vocal skills through theater and musical performances at school, and writing her own songs. Despite her parents’ initial hopes for her to pursue a traditional career, Behani’s fiancé recognized her musical talent and encouraged her to dedicate herself to music.
