They're called Beautiful Mess...a moniker vocalist/guitarist Michael LaSage says came from the desire to dodge a specific genre label. The trio also knows how to convert the worst experiences of their lives into beautifully upbeat music. The songs on their sophomore album, Waiting for the Naked, illustrate that point perfectly, as if every dreary landscape can indeed be brightened and bettered by a few happy little trees, a la Bob Ross. It's hard to believe that such upbeat songs like that could come from such a dark place...
