Beans & Fatback is a rock 'n soul band from Amsterdam, formed in 2010 when Onno Smit (singer and guitar player in Lefties Soul Connection) decided to combine two of his passions: music and cooking. During a couple of live sessions he recorded what would become Beans & Fatback (2010), a country-tinged rock 'n soul album and cookbook at the same time. In return for their musical contributions Smit cooked the musicians dinner during each session.
