Barış K’s been deejaying at Istanbul’s venues and events since 1997. Together with fellow DJ Ismet, he hosted Istanbul’s first funk-soul parties. Thanks to the abundance of old record stores he was able to indulge himself in retro sounds like beat, disco and soul. Barış K’s Eurasia mixes feature 70’s Turkish music deeply rooted in Anatolia... A truly universal sound... A revival of the golden age. Barış also produces; his remix for clarinet player Hüsnü Şenlendirici was released from Doublemoon Records.
