Babado Novo (a Portuguese phrase meaning "new ruffle") is a band from Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, within the axé music genre. Their main releases were from 2002 to 2006, with two live albums following later. The band was led by the singer Claudia Leitte, who went on to major success as a solo artist.
