Born and raised in Dover, Ohio, Atom didn't start playing the guitar until he was seventeen. Playing his friends guitars and wanting to learn more he got a guitar for his birthday and was playing all day and all night as soon as he got it. "Sometimes I would come home from work and find him sleeping with the guitar across his chest," his mother says.
