Assertion is a 3-piece Alternative, Rock band from Tacoma, Washington. The band consists of William Goldsmith (drums) formerly of Sunny Day Real Estate, & The Fire Theft, Bryan Gorder (bass) of Slorder, Blind Guides, & The Speans, and Justin Tamminga (guitar, vocals) of Pig Snout, Blind Guides, & Dying Trades.
