Aslan's 2025 Concert History

Aslan is a Celtic Rock band formed in Finglas, Ireland, a suburb of Dublin, in 1982. The band's founding members included Christy Dignam (lead singer), Joe Jewell (lead guitarist), Billy McGuinness (keyboardist, harmonicist, backup guitarist), Alan Downey (percussionist), and Tony McGuiness (bassist). The members named the band after the lion in C.S. Lewis's "Chronicles of Narnia" series. Lewis. Shortly after releasing its debut studio album "Feel No Shame" in 1988, the band broke up. In 1993, the band reunited, releasing their sophomore alum "Goodbye Charlie Moonhead the following year. After winning Best Irish Band at the 2008 Meteor Awards, Tony McGuiness announced his departure from Aslan. Rodney O'Brien replaced him. On June 13, 2023, Christy Dignam passed away at the age of 63. At the time of his passing, Aslan had released 8 studio albums, 4 of which made the top spot, alongside over two dozen top 40 hits in Ireland.
