Aranya is a modern mishmash math tribal metal movement born in Portland, OR in 2008. The band consists of lead vocalist and violist, Uta Plotkin, guitarist, Tyler Kellogg, Drummer, Joe Harris and Bassist, Mae Streight. The band also utilizes didgeridoo and a large, decorated staff and has a strong emphasis on magick and ritual in their performance. Major influences are Sleepytime Gorilla Museum and Tchkung.
