The name Antaean comes from Greek mythological giant named Antaeus, whom was born son to Gaia and Poseidon. Because of this, Antaeus was indomitable while he was touching the earth. The band takes meaning with this name as a symbol for how they operate as musicians; as long as they keep their feet on the ground, there is nothing they cannot accomplish.
