Angela Gheorghiu (born September 7, 1965) is a Romanian opera singer and one of the most famous and internationally acclaimed contemporary sopranos. A fiery and intense stage actress, Gheorghiu has a particular affinity for the operas of Verdi and Puccini, as well as the verismo school. On the other hand, having an impeccable musicianship and a gorgeous voice, she is also considered a great interpreter of French roles.
