"(Satta) Amasa Gana, an Old Aramaic term now reserved for Rastafarian ceremonial practices assumes a misconstrued definition when indulging in the music of Austin-based experimental quintet AMASA•GANA. Members Guy Taylor, Chris King, Joe Jacobs, Adam Jones, & Jon Roberts make ample use of folk Instruments, field recordings, analog & digital synthesis technology, as well as carefully maneuvered effects processing to create a vast array of thought provoking soundscapes & textures.
