Altaira formed in 2001 in San Diego CA. A quartet consisting of 2 guitars, bass and drums as well as dual vocals. Tampa J and Billy Mccowan handle most the vocal duties with newly added bassist Todd Price singing some as well. He replaced Geoff upon relocating from Athens GA to San diego CA and leaving his last band, Guff. Altaira released a 7 song EP entitled, Weigh Your Conscience with ADD Records in July 2003. April 2004 they released a split with The Dukes of Hillsborough on ADD Records as well.
