Aleks Schürmer (1981) is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in Montréal, Canada. Straddling both Classical and Popular genres, Aleks Schürmer has collaborated with many groups and performers such as the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, Ensemble Arion, Les Idées Heureses, Dana Michel, Irina Lazareanu, Andrew Tay, Sasha Kleinplatz, Jonathan Sévigny, and Ellen Smallwood's Teen Sleuth & The Freed Cyborg Choir. He produces lo-fi music under the name The Gold, and 18th century music with his group Les Tabarnaks d'époque.
