Aleka's Attic were a band formed in 1987-88 by the actor River Phoenix. The band's line up changed over the years- the original members were River Phoenix (vocals/guitar) Rain Phoenix (vocals) Josh Mckay (bass), Josh Greenbaum (drums) and Tim Hankins (viola). The band were offered a two year development deal with Island records in 1988. They released two tracks, 'Across The Way' appeared on the 1989 PETA benefit album 'Tame Yourself' and in 1996 'Note To A Friend' appeared on another benefit album, 'In Defence Of Animals volume II'.
