4 the Cause Concert History

4 The Cause is a band from Oak Park near Chicago, largely considered an one-hit-wonder. In early 1998, they hit the charts with a souped-up cover of Ben E. King's "Stand By Me" in 1998. The song was a Number-1-Hit in Switzerland and reached No. 2 in Germany and Austria. It also appeared in the UK charts. Their follow-up singles did not reach the same lofty heights as their breakthrough single.
