Jung Hoon Hee is a South Korean ballad singer. She was born into a family with deep ties to music as her father was a pianist, her younger brother a bandmaster, and her older brother a guitarist. She got her first song, "Mist", when she was a freshman in high school in 1967. She was singing at the Seoul Grand Hotel nightclub and when practicing one night, composer Lee Bong-jo was eating at the restaurant next door. He heard Hoon Hee sing and decided that his song and her voice were a perfect fit.
