The band “Rusychi” is named after glorious rusychies (rutheni), the forefathers of the modern Ukrainians. The band therefore tries to reflect the character of the authentic music of their "ancient ancestors" as well as to transfer their spirit into our time. The band uses original Ukrainian melodies and polishes them up in contemporary harmonies and rhythms, trying to combine music life of the Ukrainians together with the future. Bright Ukrainian essays of mountains, steppes and sea music are mixed with rock, funk, punk, reggae...
