In 2017, the band released its seventh studio album "One More Light," the last before lead singer Chester Bennington passed away. Following Benington's death, Linkin Park disbanded. The group reformed on a live stream on September 5, 2024, with Emily Armstrong (of Dead Sara) as co-vocalist alongside founding member Mike Shinoda, the release of the band's first single in 7 years "The Emptiness Machine," and the announcement of a new studio album "From Zero" and world tour.
