Brut Boogaloo plays classic rock, focusing on solid material performed with passion and soul. The band was formed in Oslo in the late nineties and released the EP "Do the Boogaloo" in 2001, causing the critics to use superlatives seldom seen in connection with Norwegian bands. The only original member remaining is songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Henning Solvang, and since 2003 the rest of the lineup has consisted of Peter Olofsson (guitar), Peter "Bosse" Boström (bass) and Børge Henriksen (drums).
