The Garifuna Collective is a Belizean Punta ensemble that first arose for the 2007 album, Wátina, by Andy Palacio & The Garifuna Collective. One of the most praised world music albums ever released, and with Palacio on the cusp of tremendous fame, he passed away suddenly a year after Wátina was released.
