Thanks again, Awatkins! I remember seeing It’s a Beautiful Day (but not where, so this answers that question). I don’t remember the Collectors at all, though we were there for the whole show. But it was the 60’s.
From another site: “As originally booked, the Oakland Cream show was a British rock dream pairing of Cream and Traffic. However, by the time the show rolled around, Traffic was off the bill, presumably because Dave Mason’s second departure ground their tour plans to a halt. By show time, Traffic had been replaced by two acts with less commercial clout, Canadian band the Collectors and rising San Francisco band It’s A Beautiful Day. Both had made a few 2nd and 3rd bill gigs at the Family Dog and Fillmore by that time, but neither was a headliner by any means.“
I think Awatkins post from 9/18/21 is correct that Traffic did not play at this concert (I was just thinking about the fact that I never got to see Traffic, so appreciate this post reinforcing my memory that they were not at this concert)
Traffic did not play at this concert.
