My soon to be Wife Linda and I attended this concert. It was excellent and yes, on a revolving stage. The other person who posted here said there was another band but I don't remember one. I've looked and find no mention of an opening act. Anyone know for sure?
My 1st concert! I was just getting into music and really didn't know who Cream was! Lucky break that this show was my introduction. The venue was a small theater in the round with a rotating stage in a big tent. The show was maybe 1/2 full. A local band opened but that was just a blur compared when Cream came out. They were fantastic!! I remember Ginger Baker's boundless energy, surely, as everyone was saying back in those days, he had to be a speed freak. Clapton playing, fingers moving frantically over the fretboard while the rest of his body remained motionless and Jack Bruce playing with more animation, playing the bass more like a lead instrument. I was HOOKED! Interesting note that I only learned in recent years` this show was the last stop on the US Disraeli Gears Tour.
