My first Fillmore concert. I do not recall Savoy Brown at this show. It was Jethro Tull’s American debut. And through the fog of time I’m pretty sure a steel band opened the show.
I saw The Gay Desperadoes Steel (Band) Orchestra at the Fillmore East in !968 or 1969. They were the third group which performed, and in my estimation the best who ever performed there of all the many performances i attended. Somehow they've been overlooked/omitted from the archive, and could not find listed anywhere. It seems what i found most memorable about the Fillmore East, others have erroneously erased from the record of history. This i find very sad state of record keeping, a detriment to complete and accurate history of the Fillmore East!
