Aerosmith appeared at Stage One as Dr. J. Jones and the Interns. Aerosmith was scheduled to headline the Canadian World Music Festival two days later in Toronto. In order to boost U.S. ticket sales, the promoters, Harvey & Corky, advertised the festival with these words, "None of these acts will be appearing in Buffalo this summer." The Aerosmith gig would have to be a secret for Harvey & Corky to keep their promise.
