Supposedly this is Katatonia’s first time in GDL. This will be my third time seeing them. Looking forward to GDL’s audience reaction to them. It’s gonna be crazy fun. Update: First of all, the opening/supporting act, Pressive were very impressive. An amazing guitar player, bass and drums, and a lead singer, not bad at all. Katatonia was hot. Only one guitar player, instead of two, I couldn’t see the keyboard player, but he was there behind the PA, and I could hear the mellotron, yes!! A little more on the heavy side. When they played “ Buildings”, I really missed that second guitar player, it didn’t quite hit home. Once again the audience went crazy, and totally showed their appreciation, they made a lot of noise. Mexican audiences have a good reputation for making bands feel very welcome, and they show it.
