Even though Hall & Oates were the headliner, it was City Boy that I went to see, and they kicked ass. I had seen City Boy in 1977, opening up to Nektar, and they were good, but they didn’t play
5000 Years/Don’t Know Can’t Tell, and I was hoping they would. But on this night they did play 5000 Years, and it was rockin’. Mike Slamer, guitarist, did an amazing solo, it was worth the whole evening. City Boy kicked ass, memorable.
