I’ve never seen El Vez, but I remember seeing his name plenty of times, in San Francisco, and L.A. This is his famous Christmas show, part punk rock, part comedy, with lots of costume changes. This should be fun. Looking forward to seeing Chaki, I remember Richie from Carlton Melton telling me that he’s not to be missed. I’ll keep you posted. Update: Wow what a show. There were dancing girls, and the famous El Vets back up singers, and lots of costume changes. But it’s El Vez’s backup band that puts it all together (two guitars, bass and drums) they rock. Imagine all your favorite Christmas songs with a Hispanic/Latino twist to the lyrics, there’s where laughs and humor comes in. This was my first time seeing El Vez, everyone in line told me I was in for a treat, and it was fun.
