Perhaps it was the greatest rock gig of all time. It had its weaknesses, technical faults, etc., and some bands were just shite, but the event as a whole was all the better for that. It was hastily arranged and shabbily organised, but nothing else expressed Geldof's passion and urgency to try and help the situation in Ethiopia than that.
