After literally knocking me on my arse at Monsters of Rock the previous year I jumped at the chance to see the The Black Crowes and aided by the cosy and up close atmosphere of the fantastic venue that is the Brixton academy they nearly took the roof off! This band should have become one of the biggest in the world, dont know why they didn't. They were supported by an at the time unknown band called The Verve and I have no memory of that at all!
