Van Halen absolutely blew Aerosmith off the stage! The crowd literally had nothing left to give for Aerosmith! Steven Tyler was so pissed that he threw down his microphone at he walked off. If you read Corbin Reiff’s book Lighters in the Sky, he picks this shows as his best show of the year! He details how Van Halen really wanted to use a real tank to squash a yellow VE bug with Aerosmith painted on it? But Aerosmith heard rumors of it s9 it never happen. They just came out and played an absolutely amazing set!

Mother's Finest were scheduled for Sunday, April 8, but did not perform.
Also Brownsville, but at least they had a helicopter that dropped flyers on the crowd advertising their gig at the Starwood on April 9, 1979!
