DRIFTERS, BOX TOPS TO JOIN IN PROVO CONCERT FRIDAY By Deseret News Jun 25, 1990, 12:00am MDT
America's Freedom Festival, in conjunction with Wilsonwood Promotions, will present the Drifters and the Boxtops in concert at the Utah Lake State Park on Friday, June 29. Gates open at 7:30 p.m.
The Drifters had some of the biggest hits of the '60s, with such songs as "On Broadway," "Up On The Roof" and "Under the Boardwalk." The Boxtops took "The Letter" to No. 1 in 1967. The concert is sponsored by Food 4 Less, KZOL Oldies 96 FM and Fred Meyer. Tickets can be purchased at Food 4 Less in Provo and all Fred Meyer stores along the Wasatch Front. Ticket prices are $5 in advance, $8 at the gate.
