IRE Tour Nov 24, 2015 (9 years ago) The Tabernacle Atlanta, Georgia, United States
My first ever Parkway headlining set definitely did not disappoint! I said after the show that Parkway was the best band in the world and this was the best crowd I'd ever been apart of and I stand by that statement. The show started with me and Jonathan watching the first two sets from the balcony which was a nice change of pace. In Hearts Wake was just ok. Not bad or anything they just weren't anything special and the vocalists stage presence was a little awkward. Thy Art is Murder was up next and they were phenomenal. They had exceptional command over the crowd and sounded spot on. They were the heaviest band Ive ever seen and also the funniest band I've ever seen. They were talking about Atlanta trap music and dedicated their entire set to freeing Gucci Mane #FreeGucci. After TAIM we moved down to the pit for Miss May I. MMI put on a really good show and were able to get a really strong reaction out of the crowd. Finally it was time for Parkway but not before the crowd burst out in a Queen sing a long andyYou could just tell this crowd was gonna be a memorable one. Parkway opened up with Destroyer and the place erupted. There was literally never a quiet moment during the set as Winston kept commenting on. Some of the set highlights include: Carrion, Idols and Anchors, Romance is Dead, and Wild Eyes. Every song got a great reaction though and the new songs sound amazing live. Parkway absolutely killed it as always and this will almost definitely go down as the best show Ive ever been to.
