Right now I am counting I saw him 16 times ... but I may be forgetting a couple . I got to meet him close to a dozen times & even got to hang out with him a few of those times . We saw him last on New Years Eve 2019 @ the Grand Ole Opry ... front row center . The greatest shows that anyone has ever performed . John’s music just got better & better . Can anyone tell me for sure if Prine played the “Jubilee Jam” in 1996 or was it 1997 ? I was there . I had a backstage pass & ended up on the bus w/ just John after that show . That is the year I gave him my old MS license plate that said “PRINE” . (Yes of course I had flag decals all over the back of that Lincoln Towncar). I will never forget some of our conversations . Thanks WZZQ ... RIP John . 🎸❤️😇✌️
This was the 3rd time I had the good fortune of seeing John Prine ... and it was the night I got to finally meet him . My favorite musician of all time ... and one of the nicest people I ever met . I’ve seen a lot of concerts ... nothing has ever topped seeing John Prine’s shows . 😎🎸😇✌️
