Saw my last of x 5 Who Shows a month later on 10/25/82 @ the Oakland Coliseum Arena. Only one w/o Keith in the Band. I gave seeing the Clash just to see the WHO in a smaller arena. That was my choice. I don't like Stadiuim shows if you can see in a smaller arena!!

Who was there?
Santana The Clash and that"s all I remember.

Gregory Linton Feb 28, 2021

It was my 1st concert, one I'll never forget
.

Gregory Linton Feb 28, 2021

Remember someone hitting Joe Strummer in the head with an orange, also I remember that they used the Who sound system which was the only time at a concert that my hands automatically went to my ears, I remember looking around and everyone had their hands over their ears its was loud.

Gregory Linton Feb 28, 2021

Horribly my concert ticket has been missing for years, I remember the Clash, but what other bands opened, was it The Hooters, and maybe another?

Jranbrandt Sep 21, 2020

@voodoo Chile: YES I remember the crowd HATED the Clash.

Karel Aug 31, 2020

The order was Hooters, Santana, Clash, the. Who. Didn’t Pete Townsend also dress down the crowd for booing the Clash or am I remembering wrong (or wrong g person)?

Voodoo Chile Mar 12, 2019

Thanks Ljayfuller, spaced on the Hooters.

Ljayfuller Feb 22, 2019

Someone forgot to mention that the opening act was The Hooters. Then The Clash, Santana and the Who.

Voodoo Chile Feb 18, 2019

Sanatana opening, left an impatient audience that didn't give the Clash a chance. They were booed mercilessly
