On Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in a Facebook post, Sevendust said that it would not be able to play Saturday, July 15 "...due to circumstances outside of our & the festivals (sic) control." A Rock Fest spokesperson said she did not have any additional information on the reason for the band's cancellation. Rock Fest announced on its Facebook page that Adam Gontier would be playing at the festival to replace Sevendust’s slot.
