Melanie debuted a brand new emerald green dress for the "Cry Baby" era at this show. This was the only time she wore this dress during the North American leg. However, this dress was reused once more on the EU/UK leg at the show in Madrid on 10/7/24.
Melanie also debuted a purple K-12 dress for the "K-12” era at this show. Previously, she had only worn a pink version of the dress and for all remaining shows of the tour, she wore the purple dress. This has been the only time throughout the entire tour, that Melanie has debuted a new outfit for the “K-12” era.
This was the second time on the tour, and the seventh time overall (including festivals), that Melanie debuted two new outfits in one show. The previous and upcoming instances were at Seattle on 5/10/24, Osheaga Festival on 8/2/24, Lollapalooza Festival on 8/4/24, London on 9/28/24, Paris on 10/2/24 and Milan on 10/19/24.
During her closing speech at night one on 6/5/24 the day before, Melanie mentioned that playing at this venue was a “dream come true” for her, as she grew up in NYC. This was the only stop on the entire tour to feature two consecutive nights in the same venue and city due to overwhelming demand.
This was the only show of the entire tour to feature exclusive merch for a specific stop. The new items included a green t-shirt with a graphic of ‘The Creature,’ labeled with 'The Trilogy Tour, New York City, Madison Square Garden, 2024,' and a poster featuring a mushroom-filled apple representing “PORTALS,” a pink bus with 'Madison Square Garden' on it representing “K-12,” and a baby bottle with building blocks spelling out 'NYC,' representing “Cry Baby.”
These two shows made Melanie Martinez the second alternative artist to perform and sell out two consecutive nights at Madison Square Garden with this show being her highest grossing concert of all-time.
