I was at this concert, we listened to Robin Trower and he was pretty good, but my buddies and I were early ZZ Top fans which is why we got tickets for this show. I was 19 at the time. Nobody wanted ZZTop to leave the stage and Wishbone Ash came out and after just a couple of songs they were all but booed off the stage; they left pissed off and the crowd kept chanting ZZ Top; they came back out and played a bunch of songs off the first album”ZZTop” and Rio Grande Mud. The Paladium in those days was a great concert venue with an upper seated table area. The band crew came out with large containers like 5 gallon buckets or something similar and threw handfuls of J’s into the crowd. Dusty got on the mic and warned anyone from pocketing them, that they were to be smoked there inside. Crazy time
