I'm pretty sure Dean broke a string on his guitar and it hit one of the Shit Creek Boys. Dude was pretty pissed off and all the boys left the stage for about 20 min. during which Gene & Dean played an awesome acoustic set. Eventually The Shit Creek Boys returned and all was well in the universe.
This was on the 12 Golden Country Hits tour and was really fun. I was on "it" at the show and the band had a full blown country band backing them. Deaner accidentally injured the pedal steel player by swinging his guitar around and hitting him in the head. He was bleeding like a stuck pig.
