Concert Details

Date:
Sunday, July 30, 1972
Venue:
Three Rivers Stadium
Location:
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States
Notes:

There were several Leon Russell “look-alikes” in the crowd. He did seem to not like being at 2nd base, so far away from the seated crowd. When he first started playing, he held a chord on the piano and sang to that chord something like: “I see all you people far off in the stands and you look like flowers on a hill and I can’t tell one from another”; this went on for several minutes before he broke into a song.
