Drunken Sailor Dec 20, 2023

Was very excited to see the Kinks again, but also Arthur Lee & Love. Don't remember much of the Quartermass set, but Arthur Lee and Love did a great job, a joy to see them. The Kinks, however, were riding high with Lola... Unfortunately, Ray showed up drunk on his ass, the rest of the band hostile to him, and they managed 17 minutes... If you read this, Ray, I want my front of the house seat tickets price back ($11 for 2 seats). I saw them many years later and it was a great show (at Virginia Tech), but the best show I ever saw them do was an earlier one at the Fillmore, when they were 2nd billed to Spirit, and blew everybody away (October 18, 1969).
