This concert was the first of 3 on this weekend in 1967. Most everyone came to see the Byrds who had just released their very successful album, Younger than Yesterday. But this was a night for Moby Grape, the local San Francisco band that got a contract with Columbia records.....they made the Byrds look like little school boys. The Byrds did not have a solid sound.....there was something that was lacking....of course, David Crosby walked away from the Byrds shortly after this tour.
