Kent and I were leaning against the stage for Roxy Music’s first show in LA. Eno wearing feathers off his shoulder. Brian Ferry said “Hello Hollywood” several times. They were tight! Paul the drummer shared a smile acknowledging my appreciation, sensing a fellow drummer.
Wild Turkey’s Glen Cornick, formerly of Jethro Tull, played his bass through a Fender Blender. He had trouble with the box. And he kicked it all over with his platform shoes.
Ten Years After were good. A jazzy vibe with a lot of Hammond B3 and Leslie influence. No watermelons for Alvin to carry off the stage.
