So, to recap, the "title" field is not open to opinion.
Bobby, this is direct from the knowledge base:
"The "facts" of a concert (which bands played, the date, venue, location, setlists, etc) are the same for everybody. This is the information you enter when you create a New Concert or go to the Edit Concert page. The information that you add/edit here should be factually accurate and free of opinions because it affects all of the other attendees of the concert.”
That you’ve worked hard on your archive is irrelevant to keeping it factual. Changes you make (titles for concerts that are not in fact titled) affect all attendees. A personal entry is futile as duplicates are being merged. So please reserve your personal amendments for the Notes, which is where I will continue to move your titles (if the concert has no title).
Hi Sal, just in case you didn't see my response on my Ride entry...although we all may have different views on what makes up a "Concert Title", I ask please that you kindly respect the way I choose to post my own entries until we receive some official guidelines that state otherwise. The "band" field is for the names of the artists and the "title" field is for the title of the tour or one-off concert or festival from which the show comes, in my opinion. Thank you
Hey Bobbybto, stop giving concerts a title when they do not in fact have one. Artists are almost always touring in support of an album, which does not mean that that respective tour is called anything. When in doubt, refer to your ticket. I have provided an image of my ticket from this show, clearly showing that this was simply Teenage Fanclub performing another date on their tour. The Notes are the proper place for any details regarding what album the tour is in support of.
There are multiple vendors selling tickets for this concert!
