I can’t find a reference to the exact date so I entered 7/15/86 as a guesstimate. I attended this concert and I know the concert was definitely in the summer of 1986. There are online references to these two bands touring together in 1986 … just no reference to the show at the Carowinds Palladium. Hopefully someone can confirm/correct the exact date.
