Yet another amazing day Started with Destroyer, run by a former member of New Pornographers. OK sound, but lead singer looked like a rumpled professor and didn't do anything - 1.5/5 Colony House was a great surprise - I liked almost all of their songs, and the lead singer was a great performer - definitely worth seeing again - 3.5/5 Dirty Honey was outstanding - by far the most I have enjoyed them. Great crowd interaction, including coming down from the stage multiple times. They still have a bit of a "too cool for school" affect but the music more than makes up for it - 5/5 COIN was perhaps the biggest disappointment of the festival - they have essentially abandoned their old music for new slow stuff - although "talk too much" was super fun - 2/5 Glorious Sons were outstanding - they get better every single time I see them. They had great rapport with the crowd, great performance and interactions - excited for them! 5/5 Happy Fits were amazing. We got to meet Calvin at the COIN show and he was as friendly and open as always. They were competing with Death Cab for Cutie so I was worried about attendance, but they packed the smallest stage - at least 2000 folks. Their performance was just incredible - just so joyous and clearly happy to be there. They won the crowd out and by the end it was rocking. Calvin worked so hard he couldnt' get together afterwards because of heat exhaustion! 5/5 Only downside was my phone got stolen at end of Happy Fits. So I wasn't in a great head space for PUP. But they did an outstanding job. they are a novel mix of great punk sound with true harmony. Terrific performers. Can't wait to see them again - 4/5
