The night before, Billy Corgan and D'arcy hosted an event called "An Evening with Billy Corgan" sponsored by The END 107.7. The event took place at a mansion on Capitol Hill and was broadcast live on the radio. Billy answered questions from those that attended (contest winners) and signed autographs.
The band's equipment got stuck traveling North to Seattle because of bad rain storms, floods, and road closures. Many local bands loaned equipment and instruments to Smashing Pumpkins.
